Execution and trade-management issues
Check the target account, broker data freshness and latest request result before repeating an action.
A management button is disabled
In Trading, management requires an eligible demo account, permission to execute, an allowed operation and verifiable broker and source-trade data. Live accounts are read only in this view. A position appearing in the list does not guarantee it can be managed.
Select Refresh. Check the account's connection and freshness, then inspect the button's explanation. SL at opening price means there is no breakeven change to make.
The current Trading screen offers breakeven and full close for eligible positions, plus modification and cancellation for eligible pending orders. It does not offer partial closing or an arbitrary SL/TP editor for open positions.
The trade changed before confirmation
Refresh and reopen the target. TTMT checks the latest broker data before accepting a management action; it can reject a request if the position, order or account connection has changed. Check whether the order filled, was cancelled or the position already closed.
After identity verification, review and confirm the action again. Previously submitted requests are not automatically replayed.
A request was received but the trade did not change
Processing, Request received and Sent to MetaTrader are intermediate states. Inspect Activity or Execution History for confirmation and broker evidence.
For Checking with broker or an unknown outcome, compare with the broker terminal before retrying. A network interruption can occur after a request was received.
The broker rejected a request

For Modify pending order, Price must be positive and SL/TP non-negative. 0 removes SL or TP. Broker checks still apply to a valid form.
Breakeven All only changed some positions
The operation submits separate requests for eligible positions. Check every result, including queued and rejected requests. SL at entry does not guarantee a zero financial result because fees and slippage still apply.
Dismissing did not close a trade
Dismiss request only changes visibility in your request list and retains history. To close an eligible position or cancel a pending order, use the corresponding Trading action and confirm its broker result.
