Trading Profiles
A Trading Profile stores the rules an account uses to interpret signals, size orders, set SL/TP, filter new entries, and manage open positions. Each account uses one active profile at a time. Saving a profile and applying it to an account are separate actions.
Create and check a profile
- Open Trading Profiles and select New profile, or choose an existing item in Saved profiles.
- Enter a Profile name and optional Description.
- In Configure, review Signal parsing, Orders, SL & TP, Lot size & risk limits, Position management, and Trading filters & symbol rules.
- Open Preview signal. Select a Demo account for broker checks and paste a representative Telegram signal.
- Select Preview signal · no orders. Check the recognized symbol, direction, entries, targets, calculated sizes, and any rejection reason.
- Return to the editor and select Save profile or Save new version.
Preview uses the current editor settings, including unsaved changes. It does not place orders or change the account settings. If the account is unavailable, a parsed signal alone does not confirm broker checks or order sizes.
Apply a saved version
- Open Accounts & apply and choose an available demo account.
- Check Last confirmed to see the settings currently acknowledged by that account.
- Choose Saved profile and Version to apply.
- Select Review & apply and read the Current/New comparison.
- Confirm Apply to the displayed account, then use Refresh status until the result is confirmed.
The current profile interface exposes demo accounts for this workflow. Availability of another account environment must be confirmed in your workspace; do not assume that a successful demo test enables live trading.
| Status | What to do |
|---|---|
| Not assigned | Choose a saved version. |
| Waiting for confirmation | Keep checking; the requested version is not yet the confirmed configuration. |
| Waiting for earlier requests | Earlier account actions must be checked first. |
| Earlier requests need review | Inspect those requests and the account before expecting the update to proceed. |
| Applied | Check the profile name and confirmed version. |
| Update not applied | The previous settings remain active; inspect the account before retrying. |
What a change affects
After account confirmation, open TTMT-managed positions use the new management rules from the next check. Existing order sizes do not change; closed orders remain closed, and completed partial closes are not repeated. New orders wait while earlier requests are checked. Applying a profile does not reset trading pauses or runtime direction restrictions.
A new saved version does not automatically replace an older version already applied to an account. To return to earlier saved rules, select that version and follow the same review-and-apply process.
Profiles and channel destinations
In a channel, Receiving MT accounts selects which accounts receive future signals. Symbols, SL/TP, sizing, and trading hours belong to Trading Profiles. Each receiving account uses its own confirmed configuration, so the same signal may produce different outcomes on different accounts.
Leaving all receiving accounts unchecked monitors future signals without sending trading commands. Changing this selection does not close existing orders or positions.
Recover an unconfirmed change
If a save or apply has an unknown outcome, refresh the saved state or account status first. Where offered, use Retry original save or Retry original apply to reconcile that operation. Do not assume a timeout means failure. If another editor changed the saved profile, compare the server snapshot before choosing Load server version or Keep draft and rebase.
Read-only workspace roles can inspect settings but cannot save or apply them.
