Multiple targets & partial closes

TTMT has two separate controls: creating several orders with different TP targets, and partially closing the remaining volume of an open position. Review both when designing a profile.

Create orders for TP levels

In Orders, SL & TP, choose Create orders from signal TP levels or a fixed count. Each order is tracked separately within the signal's trade group. Profiles support the three or five target slots shown in the editor.

In Lot size & risk limits, enter a lot size or risk percentage for each TP order. These are independent per-order settings, not a split of the single-order lot or risk value. Verify total volume and planned order count in preview.

For one order, select Take-profit target for single-order mode. If the selected target is unavailable, the EA uses an available lower target. This is different from opening one order for each target.

Partially close a position

Open Position management → Take partial profit. Volume to close at TP1, TP2, and the additional targets exposed by your profile are percentages of the remaining volume when their trigger fires. A value of 0 disables that trigger.

For illustration only, closing half the remaining volume twice leaves one quarter of the original volume before broker rounding; it does not close the original volume in two equal halves. Broker minimums and volume steps still affect whether a partial close can be performed.

The pip-gain rule uses Volume to close after a pip gain with Profit distance before partial close. To turn this rule off, set both the percentage and distance to 0.

Understand trigger behavior

Partial-close triggers run once per position. A completed partial close is not repeated when another saved profile version is applied. Orders that have already closed at their broker TP have no remaining position to partially close.

If several management rules are enabled, inspect actual broker results rather than assuming every configured action occurred. A reached price level is not proof of a successful broker close.

Verify changes

Preview checks the initial order plan; it cannot demonstrate future market movement or prove a future partial close. After applying the saved version on a demo account, use execution results and the account's positions to verify management behavior. Check volume restrictions when a partial close is not completed.
