Your first signal
Validate one workflow on a demo MT5 account before enabling more sources or accounts. Keep your broker terminal available while checking the result.
Check the intended workflow
- The correct workspace is selected and has the required account access.
- The intended Telegram receiving account or bot is connected and has access to the source.
- The channel is enabled and monitoring is healthy.
- The channel routes to the intended MT5 account.
- The account is connected and allowed to execute.
- The intended Trading Profile version shows Applied.
- The signal format, symbol rules, sizing, and entry conditions match the workflow you want to test.
Follow a new message
- Wait for a new signal in the configured Telegram source to verify the complete receiving and routing path. Signal Tester is a separate preview/direct demo-execution workflow; it does not prove Telegram ingestion or channel routing works.
- Find the signal in Signal Log. Review the processing outcome and each account result.
- Open Execution History to distinguish a request from a confirmed fill or rejection.
- Open Positions or Trading to review the broker position view.
- Compare with the broker terminal when the dashboard is still checking confirmation.
Record what you verified
Check the actual symbol, side, volume, entry, stop loss, and take-profit values against the applied settings and broker result. Use this as a configuration check, not as evidence that a strategy will be profitable.
If the result differs
| Observation | Next place to check |
|---|---|
| No source message in the log | Telegram access and channel readiness |
| Message received but no trade | Signal processing and skip reasons |
| Profile changed but old settings still apply | Profile update status |
| Request rejected by the broker | Execution troubleshooting |
| Outcome is still checking | Broker position/history first; avoid repeating the action blindly |
Before moving beyond the first workflow
Repeat your checks for each receiving account. Account permissions, broker symbol names, available margin, and confirmed profile versions can differ even when the source message is the same.
