Execution History

Use Execution History to distinguish what TTMT requested from what MetaTrader actually reported. Requests, orders and fills answer different questions.

Trace an execution

  1. Select the relevant Account, or use All accounts when investigating several accounts.
  2. Search by symbol or order reference. Use Filter to narrow the time and other available criteria.
  3. In Requests, open the request to inspect its timeline, reason and related broker evidence.
  4. Check Placed orders for order records and Fills for individual executions.
  5. Compare with Trading or Positions if the current position is unclear.

Interpret request states

StateWhat to do
ProcessingThe request was received or sent onward. Wait for the final result.
Confirmed by brokerReview the recorded broker evidence.
CompletedProcessing completed; inspect related order and fill records for the trading result.
Checking with brokerThe outcome is being verified. Check the broker account before retrying.
Needs reviewInspect the reason and account state.
Not executedReview the rejection reason before changing or retrying the request.
SkippedA rule prevented execution.
Partially executedSome requested work completed; inspect all related results.
Preview — no real trade submittedThis was a preview, not a submitted trade.

A pending order is not a filled position. One position can also have several fills, including partial closes. Use the record type when comparing counts.

When results are delayed

A stale-data or unavailable message can leave the last fetched records visible. Refresh and compare update times. If a request is still being checked, avoid submitting the same action until its outcome is known.
