Trading hours & signal filters
Use Trading Profiles → Trading filters & symbol rules to restrict new signal entries. These settings belong to the receiving account's profile, so accounts receiving the same channel can accept different signals.
Set the trading window
Trading start time and Trading end time use MT5 broker server time, in whole hours from 0 to 23. They do not use your browser or dashboard display timezone.
- The start hour is included and the end hour is excluded.
- Equal start and end hours allow the full day.
- An overnight window is supported: 22 → 6 permits entries from 22:00 through the hours before 06:00 in broker server time.
Check the broker server clock when diagnosing a time filter, especially if your local timezone differs. The profile's hour window does not override the broker's own market sessions or holidays. This is an entry filter, not a scheduled instruction to close positions at the end hour.
Limit direction and symbols
Set Allowed trade direction to Buy and sell, Buy only, or Sell only. Runtime pause or allowed-direction commands can further restrict trading. Saving or applying a profile does not reset those restrictions.
Source symbol filter checks the original source symbol before mapping. Use the source name in Symbols in signal, rather than assuming a broker suffix belongs there.
Filter by text
Accept if signal contains any of these adds a keyword requirement. An empty list imposes no keyword requirement; one matching phrase is enough when a list is present.
Reject if signal contains any of these rejects a matching message. Rejected phrases take priority over accepted phrases. Avoid broad words that also appear in legitimate entry messages.
Check before applying
- Preview representative messages that should pass and messages that should be filtered.
- Check source symbol names, direction, accepted phrases, and blocked phrases.
- Save and apply the version; check Last confirmed.
- For a skipped signal, inspect that receiving account's result and broker server time.
A channel configured to monitor signals only has no receiving account to execute them. Confirm Receiving MT accounts as well as filters when no order is sent.
